Going back generations, Claire comes from a line of women who love to make. From baking, to gardening, to photography; she has always been most at home when creating something that brings beauty and function.

Enter pottery. Claire thought it would be lovely to take a pottery course while studying abroad in Florence, Italy, and sure enough, she found herself in the pottery studio ever since. Child-rearing and home-making and other jobs have taken center stage, but pottery has held its place in Claire’s heart and hands. With space that she hasn’t had in awhile, she’s diving in and delighting to create pieces that can be used in the moments that matter - from quiet solitude of the morning, to the bustling table and beyond.

She specializes in completely handmade functional pottery. First the pieces are hand thrown on the wheel, then hand trimmed, and individually glazed. She loves to make pieces that can be enjoyed every day.
